About
About alineo
alineo is an open-source platform for running AI agents inside isolated sandboxes. Each agent gets a live sandbox container that it can spawn, exec in, checkpoint, and resume. Every action is written to a durable audit ledger, so a run can be inspected and replayed after it ends.
What is in the project
- The TypeScript SDK, which treats a sandbox as an object you hold and call methods on.
- alineod, a daemon with an HTTP and SSE API that spawns, steers, pauses, and stops trees of agents.
- A command-line tool for starting agents from a spec file.
- A workflow package for retry, branching, and fan-out across sandboxes.
alineo builds on OpenSandbox for container isolation, resource limits, and network egress control.
Who builds it
alineo is built by a small independent team. The source, the issue tracker, and the release history are public onGitHub. The project is licensed under Apache 2.0.
