This page describes what data the alineo website and the alineo command-line tool collect. It does not cover services you connect alineo to, such as a model provider or a sandbox host. Those services have their own policies.

This website

alineo.tech does not set cookies and does not run advertising scripts. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page loads and referring sites. That service does not use cookies. The pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes request data, such as your IP address, to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse.

The command-line tool

The alineo command-line tool sends anonymous usage events to telemetry.alineo.tech. An event holds the subcommand name, which boolean flags were present, whether the command succeeded, how long it took, version and platform details, and a random ID created once per machine. It never holds argument values, file paths, spec contents, prompts, or sandbox output. The telemetry is on by default.

To turn it off, run alineo telemetry disable, or set ALINEO_TELEMETRY_DISABLED=1 orDO_NOT_TRACK=1. Thetelemetry reference lists every field.

The SDK and alineod

The SDK and the alineod daemon run on your own infrastructure. They do not send data to the alineo team. The audit ledger they write stays in the database you configure.
